Wednesday’s Flowers – Fall Charm

September 22, 2010

Welcome fall, I’m finally ready!  To celebrate, I walked through my garden looking for inspiration for today’s post, while hoping to find a little bit of colour.  I managed to find some but I think this all be the last “from the garden” post for this year, there is not much going on out there now that the cold weather has returned.  I will continue to look and hope though.

This week’s flower arrangement is made up of the following plants:

Sedum ‘Herbstfreude’ – Autumn Joy Sedum

Ipomoea batatas – Sweet Potato Vine ‘Bronze Beauty’

Chasmanthium latifolium Northern Sea Oats Grass

Echinacea purpurea – Purple Coneflower

Hosta leaves

I’m really enjoying the charming combination of pink, brown, bronze and green together.  Although tones are soft and romantic, they are perfect for fall.  Not your everyday collection of fall colours.
