Wednesday’s Flowers – Frosty Fern

November 24, 2010

Can you believe it, the holidays are only 4 weeks away!  Yikes!  I have so much to do, so today I started decorating the house.  I like to keep it simple and fresh, while using product that will last from November until the beginning of January.  So a favourite plant for me to use in my holiday decorating is the Frosty Fern.  This little fern is so cute all by itself that it does not need too much dressing up, plus it will last long after the holidays; as long as you water it!  I picked up two at the local grocery store for $5.99 each.

This year I’m using a lot of white in my holiday decorating and trying to tie in lots of natural elements.  So, I potted the Frosty Fern into white square pots and dressed up the rim with some natural wool rovings.  Simple and quick!

What are your holiday decorating plans?  Please do share!  I will be sharing more of our home as I get it decorated.
