Since starting this Fresh and Renewed column I have been on the search for new vessels to repurpose into vases, for today’s post I found a old terracotta wine cooler that was the prefect size for creating a large arrangement for an outdoor party with some curly willow I cut from my garden.
A word of advice when working with terracotta, if it is not glazed on the inside the container will sweat when filled with water so only use this type of vase outdoors or on a non porous surface that can get wet, unglazed terracotta filled with water will destroy wood.
We are also so inspired by this blog column that we have created a flower class for it! Our Fresh and Renewed flower class will be held in the flower studio on Thursday, September 26th from 7:00pm to 9:30pm. The best thing about this class is the students are to bring in their own container to create their floral work of art in. Hope you can join us!
