Vintage Glass Jar Collection

I really cannot tell you much about these glass jars except I pulled them out of the St. Lawrence River years ago while scuba diving. As you may know, the St. Lawrence is home to the Thousand Islands and the water surrounding those islands makes for some great scrounge diving. Islanders use to throw their garbage in the River, meaning lots of goodies left to be found! Nothing like digging in the mud at the bottom of the River to find great treasures from years gone by.

These four jars are always displayed together in our home. Although they have had several functions since coming home to live above the waterline, they are most commonly used as tea-light holders. Currently they are sitting on our dining room table in lieu of flowers in my favourite old wooden box.
