52 objects in the studio – milk glass

March 19, 2014

Our flower studio is bursting at the seams.  We utilize every square inch of our space – and love every bit of  it! We are surrounded by the vintage, the reconditioned, the antique, and the new.  Everything that we have in the shop has a purpose, a story, and is loved – so let us tell you about it! Follow the Living Fresh Blog every Wednesday and let us introduce you to an object in the studio that we simply cannot get by without.

Milk glass.  One of our favourite vase mediums of all time.  Whether it is authentic Brody or Fenton, or a cheap knockoff, we have a special place in our hearts for milk glass.  We have been avid collectors for many years. We loved it before it was “cool” – and we love it as its “coolness” dissipates.  And although our family members don’t really “get” our obsession for milk glass, we’ve had them unofficially scouting for pieces to add to our collections for quite some time now.  Garage sales, thrift shops, antique markets, and our mother’s and grandmother’s china cabinets have all helped our collection to grow.  Please enjoy a glimpse at a (very) small portion of the milk glass that we call our own here in the studio!
