Wednesday’s Flowers

February 10, 2010

So we are back with another great idea to bring fresh flowers into your home for under $10, but this time I was inspired by grass.  Yupp, grass.  Being right in the middle of winter I was seeking for some green and I just happened to come across Cat Grass when I was out shopping for this weeks flowers.  As soon as I saw it I knew it was coming home with me.  One 4″ pot was enough for what I wanted to do and it only cost $1.99.  Yeah, I did well this week.

Once I got it home I divided it into 3 parts and transplanted it into 3 mustard jars we kept from a trip to Germany.  The mustard was so good it just made sense to keep the jars!  And voila!

So if you love grass as much as I do you might want to check out this flickr group to get your fill of it.  In the meantime here are more photos of the cat grass and mustard jar arrangements.

Now our cat can eat the grass!  Hope you enjoyed and we will see you back here next Wednesday with some more flowers!!

  • Love this post and am so glad you popped by my site. Glad to find you!

  • These look so sweet! I would have kept those mustard jars too, even if the mustard tasted terrible. 🙂
