Wednesday’s Flowers – White and Green Flowers for the Holidays

December 1, 2011

Well the holidays are finally upon us; it is now December, time for all the shopping, baking, parties and fun to start but I’m not even sure where to focus my attention right now. We are in the middle of a mini natural disaster in our basement due to a leaky cold cellar after a very heavy day of rain on Tuesday, so life has been put on hold temporary. Hence this late Wednesday’s Flowers post.

With no time to sleep there was no way shopping for flowers were an option yesterday. Lucky I had a few flowers leftover from Sunday’s Holiday Ice and Snow flower class. So amongst the chaos I managed to whip together a little arrangement for you, my dear readers.

Here is a list of what I used to create this floral piece:

  • White ‘Blizzard’ Rose
  • White Star of Bethlehem – Ornithogalum
  • White Flower Cabbage – Brassica
  • White Spray Stock
  • White Mini Carnations
  • Italian Ruscus

All I can say about this week’s life experiences is flowers really do make things better.

Enjoy and Happy December!

  • Hi Tina

Sorry to hear about your leaky basement, I’ve lived through one of those myself and it is not an experience I would want to repeat. You always do such lovely arrangements and your right, flowers do make things better!
