Creating things by hand makes me happy, it is an important part of my everyday life and my business. I like to know when things are homemade and I prefer to buy handmade goods.
With that being said, this post is a little difficult for me, as I have come to learn that I truly prefer to work with flowers from my own garden, grown by nature in the great outdoors. The difficulty is that I currently have no flowers to work with that are from my garden. We cannot have it all, right?
So, I found this cute fresh cut bouquet for $5 at the local grocery store and it brought back that inspiration that went missing. All I could think about when I picked up the flowers was how cute they will look in the little blue pitcher! I think I was right!
Molly Wizenberg’s ‘A Homemade Life: Stories and Recipes from My Kitchen Table‘ inspired this little photo shoot. If you have not read this yet I highly recommend you do, but do not read it on an empty stomach. I also strongly suggest you check out her blog, Orangette, for some yummy reads and home cooking inspiration.
My apologies for not posting last week, life has been too busy and something had to give, unfortunately it was the blog post. Fingers crossed I can make it up to you and share some of my interior work very soon. Things are a brewing over here at Living Fresh!
