Wednesday’s Flowers – Garden’s Bounty

June 1, 2011

Hello Summer!!  We have finally hit the jackpot with the weather, summer had finally decided to present itself here in Ontario and I could not be happier about it…so are the flowers.  All the rain up until now has made for an over-flowing bounty of bloom in our garden.  There is so much choice today that I could have cut flowers for hours, but I had to restrain myself.  Leave some for another day.

Here is what I used in this week’s arrangement:

  • Pink Aquilegia (Columbine)
  • Lily-of-the-Valley
  • Bloodgood Japanese Maple
  • Heuchera micrantha ‘Palace Purple‘ (Coral Bell) Foliage
  • Japanese Anemone

What’s blooming in your garden right now?  Have you stepped outside to snip a few blooms to make a pretty arrangement?  You really should!  Get out there and enjoy what the great weather has to offer us!

Enjoy!

  • perfection as usual….i love the contrast of the dark maple leaves with the starkness of the white!

  • Thank you!
