fresh and renewed – waxed paper yogurt cup

September 24, 2013

This past Sunday, Deb and I took a little road trip to the Aberfoyle Antique Market to search for some props for an upcoming project, as well as to find containers to repurpose for vases for this weekly column. We had a lot of success finding everything on our list! If you have never been to Aberfoyle you must! They are only open for a few more dates before it closes for winter.

While browsing we kept finding vintage dairy containers made from a heavily waxed paper. Some of the containers were dated from the 1930’s, I picked up a couple to refresh into flower vases.

The one I found for this week’s post is a waxed yogurt cup from 1938. The cup was produced by Mono Service Co. in Newark, New Jersey.
