fresh and renewed – twine wrapped mason jar

August 28, 2013

We are back in the studio today for this week’s Fresh and Renewed flower post. Last week I created an arrangement with flowers grown in our garden at home. This week I’m using locally grown organic flowers in a little mason jar that has been wrapped with twine. All the flowers were hand picked by us from our favourite local flower farm.

Mason jars are a very popular choice right now for vases, especially for weddings. A great way to personalize a plain mason jar is to wrap them with twine, paper and or ribbon. Lots of our brides this year are dropping off mason jars dressed up for their wedding table centrepieces. We love it as it gives each wedding a more stylized, thought out look and feel. It is fun to see their unique ways of adding their personal touch to a plain vessel.

The mason jar for today’s post was left over from one of our July weddings, so we just had to make use of it for this column!
