Where are the Living Fresh Flower School classes being held?

The Button Factory, 25 Regina Street South, Waterloo.

Is the Button Factory wheelchair accessible?

Sorry, there is no elevator available.  Classes are located on the second floor.

What kind of experience is required?

No experience is necessary.  If you have never attempted to arrange flowers before the Living Fresh Flower School is there to guide you.

Am I overqualified? I have taken flower design classes before.

There is no such thing as being overqualified in this artistic field.  As floral designers with tens of thousands of logged hours designing, we at the Living Fresh Flower School learn something new every day.  No two arrangements are ever the same; each piece poses its own set of challenges. Practice never makes perfect when you are dealing with nature!

What is the recommended age for attending the Living Fresh Flower School?

18 years of age and over is preferred.  Please contact us if you are interested in organizing something for a younger age group.

Does the Living Fresh Flower School offer customized classes for special groups?

Yes!  Our flower classes are the perfect destination for a girls’ day out (or guys’).  If you would like to book a class exclusively for your group, please contact us.

What should I bring to class?

Your desire to create!  The Living Fresh Flower School provides you with everything you will need.  Each student will have their own tool kit to use during the class.  All flowers, greenery, botanicals, vessels, floral foam (oasis), and miscellaneous floral hard goods will be at your disposal during your class.  If you have sensitivities to handling flowers, we recommend bringing gloves to the classes - especially for the Christmas classes, as the greenery can be prickly and sappy!

What should I wear to class?

Dress for comfort.  I bet you have never seen a florist sitting on the job!  Comfy shoes are a must - the classes are 3 hours long.  No heels, please.  Flowers can stain, so leave the designer clothes in your closet!

How long are the classes?

Each class is 3 hours.  We will take a small break half way through to indulge in some decadent treats and non-alcoholic sparkly beverages – REMEMBER:  DON’T DRINK AND DESIGN!

Do I get to take home my masterpiece?

Yes!  We will provide students with a box for its safe transportation home!

Does the Living Fresh Flower School sell the contents of the tool box if I am interested in owning my own kit?

Yes.  The tool kit contains industry quality bunch cutters, scissors, waterproof tape, cellophane grid tape and stem wrap.  If you are interested in purchasing the contents of the kit, please let us know and we will put together a brand new kit for you.  Cost is $45.00 including HST.  Order time can be up to two weeks depending on stock.

How do I pay for my class?

The Living Fresh Flower School accepts payment through PayPal.  It is a quick and secure method of making payments online.  A PayPal account is not required; all you need is a credit card and an email address.

How do I secure a spot in a class?

Payment is required in full one week prior to class to guarantee your place.  A receipt will be sent to you via email confirming your payment.

Do I have to register for all the classes being offered?

No.  There are no prerequisite classes.  Each class is independently structured.

Can I get a refund if I am unable to attend the class that I have prepaid for?

All payments are non-refundable.  Class placement can be transferred to another individual.

How can I convince people that the masterpiece I created is actually made by me?

There will be a photo shoot at the end of class for students that wish to participate.  A photo of you and your flower arrangement will be emailed to you.  With your permission select photos from the class will be featured on our blogs.
