Dabble Magazine Launch Party

March 25, 2011

I had the pleasure of attending the Dabble Magazine launch party tonight in Toronto at ELTE. If you have not had a chance to check out the magazine I suggest you do it is fabulous; food, design and travel all in one!  Oh and my friend Lori Andrews, the 10 cent designer, has some of her photography in the first issue.

The event was packed, the estimated 100 to 200 attendees turned into 1000.  There were Dabbletinis – vodka, muddled rosemary, orange bitters and white grape juice with a splash of soda – being served.  Lots of yummy food, do-it-yourself chandeliers out of drinking straws and a great bunch of people to mingle and chat with.

Here are a few photos I captured throughout the evening:

Nyla Free is one of the design contributors and the owner of Nyla Free Designs.  You can find her design blog here.  Since I have been reading her blog for a while now it was nice to meet her in person.

All the Dabble ladies were painted blue:

  • Great post and wrap up Tina. Wasn’t it a fabulous party?! Thank you so much for introducing yourself to me, it was a pleasure to meet you!

    • It was a fabulous party Nyla, it was great to meet you!

  • Hi Tina,

My name’s Andrew Metrick. Whether you could hear me on the mic that evening or not, I was the one who introduced Kimberley. (Elte’s a family business that began with my great grandfather some ninety years ago so there’s a good chance you may have spoken with someone else from my family that night. It was an unbelievably successful event and we were so could make it. It means a lot that you took the time to share the evening with your readers. Hope to see you at Elte and Ginger’s soon!

PS. I don’t know if you’ve seen our new Spring catalogue yet but it just came out. Hope you like it:

    • I love your store Andrew! I will be back soon. Love the Spring catalogue! Thanks.
