White Thanksgiving

I’m in shock that Thanksgiving is this weekend, where has this year gone??

Thanksgiving is a holiday I have always enjoyed and really, how can you not enjoy it?  Lots of hearty home cooked food, spending time with family and friends, pumpkins and pies and the amazing colours of fall:  red, orange, yellow and green.  A perfect way to celebrated and give thanks.

For this Thanksgiving I wanted to think outside of the traditional Thanksgiving box – a box that normally contains lots of orange and yellow and perhaps a bit of red – and offer you white.

Yes, I said white!  White for this very colourful holiday, you ask?  Well, think about it, white is a really great neutral, it is extremely popular right now and orange is just a little over done when it comes to this time of the year.

So, I present to you my white Thanksgiving table…

To create this look I used the following:

  • All white dishes.
  • White Fall Mums in white Milk Glass vases.
  • White mini pumpkins.
  • Bundles of mini corn wrapped in white ribbon.
  • White linen and cotton table cloth.

So, what do you think about using white for Thanksgiving?  It is a nice twist from the old traditional way of decorating and a great way to impress your guests with a fresh idea.  Aren’t those white mini pumpkins the cutest?

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Enjoy!!
