52 objects in the studio – antique wooden crates

April 9, 2014

Our flower studio is bursting at the seams. We utilize every square inch of our space – and love every bit of it! We are surrounded by the vintage, the reconditioned, the antique, and the new. Everything that we have in the shop has a purpose, a story, and is loved – so let us tell you about it! Follow the Living Fresh Blog every Wednesday and let us introduce you to an object in the studio that we simply cannot get by without.

Pepsi, wine, oranges, Canada Dry – we don’t discriminate.  If it is an old wooden crate, then we’ll take it!  We use antique wooden boxes for all of our displays. We have been collecting them since before the studio opened its doors.  Our favourite place to find these lovelies is the Aberfoyle Antique Market.  But we have stumbled upon them in thrift shops, garage sales and even curb side.  Many of them are wonky, have missing slats and nails sticking out, but some are in pristine condition.  We love them all equally and wish they could tell their story because I am sure they have traveled from far and wide.  Please enjoy some pictures of our wooden crates hard at work.
