52 objects in the studio – 1930’s dairy cartons

June 4, 2014

Our flower studio is bursting at the seams. We utilize every square inch of our space – and love every bit of it! We are surrounded by the vintage, the reconditioned, the antique, and the new. Everything that we have in the shop has a purpose, a story, and is loved – so let us tell you about it! Follow the Living Fresh Blog every Wednesday and let us introduce you to an object in the studio that we simply cannot get by without.

Aren’t these fun?  The small green container was manufactured in Newark, New Jersey in 1938.  It would have been used for serving ice cream.  The tall white one is of the same vintage and was made for the Georgian Bay Dairy Company in Owen Sound.  Both are made of waxed cardboard.  They have proven the test of time – both are still completely water tight!  We found these little beauties at the Aberfoyle Antique Market.  They make the perfect container for flowers!!  Just darling!!
